If you can think of Rolex and Jerry’s words, oysters will always be vanilla ice cream. It is the cornerstone of the development of models such as Rolex Submariner and Rolex Daytona. For 2015, Rolex introduced the new 39-mm version of Rolex Oyster Perpetual to provide greater iteration for its entry-level products.
The new 39 mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual joined the 26, 31 and 34 mm versions announced last year. Same size as the Rolex Explorer, the 39mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual uses the same movement, the Rolex 3132 movement. This is a simple and powerful automatic movement with three hands, no date and COSC certification.
Rolex Oyster Perpetual is a loyal but modern model of the Rolex Oyster model released by Rolex in 1926. Rolex Oyster is the world’s first waterproof watch, which is extraordinary. Rolex Oyster Perpetual intuitive and practical design can see this pedigree. Easy to read, the dial design provides only the necessary time for display.
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual (Ref. 114300) can choose from three dial colors – black, red or blue. If it is not the choice of red grapes and blue, we will forgive you if you do not like Rolex’s perpetual motion. Although I think that the gray dial will be very popular, it does not have the same characteristics or performance provided by its lively and colorful siblings. For my taste, the blue version is an excellent combination of daily wear resistance and a certain additional charm. It is still vanilla, but there may be some sprinkled on it.
Each dial color has its own accent color, a blue accent on the grey dial, a red accent on the red grape dial, and a green accent on the blue dial. For watches with such reserved and unstamped overall designs, this popular color is welcome.
